Code of Practice for Radiation Protection in the Medical Applications of Ionizing Radiation (2008)- Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency
Code establishes requirements for the use of ionizing radiation in medicine for inclusion in the National Directory for Radiation Protection and adoption by Australian jurisdictions. The Code is a regulatory document that covers the practices of radiotherapy, diagnostic and interventional radiology and nuclear medicine. Safety Guides relating to Radiation Protection in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Radiation Protection in Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Protection in Radiotherapy have also been published.

Diagnostic Imaging Pathways - WA Department of Health
The Diagnostic Imaging Pathways application is an evidence-based and consensus-based education and decision-support tool for clinicians. It guides the choice of the most appropriate diagnostic examinations in the correct sequence in a wide range of clinical scenarios.
The broad objectives of the guidance are to:
- Reduce the incidence of unnecessary examinations which may expose patients to risk without benefit, including the risk of false-positive results; and
- Increase the incidence of appropriate examinations which will result in cost-effective diagnosis.

Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards - American College of Radiology
Documentation and Reporting, General Diagnostic Radiology, General Diagnostic Radiology, Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Organ-specific and Subspecialty-specific Imaging: Pediatric and Adult, Abdomen – Gastrointestinal, Abdomen – Genitourinary, Breast Imaging and Intervention, Cardiovascular, Chest, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, Interventional Radiology, Pediatric, Radiation Oncology, Medical Physics

Written report guidelines - Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists
The written radiology report is the dominant means by which radiologists communicate their interpretation of imaging findings. The quality of the report therefore has a direct impact on the safety and appropriateness of decisions about treatment and further investigations. The written report also may be used in education or research, serve as a legal document and/or provide billing information.
The intent of the
guideline is to provide advice to radiologists and radiology trainees about best practice with regard to the written report. A secondary purpose was to develop a pragmatic process for guideline development that could be adopted by the College in the future.
